This workshop is an introduction to woodcut printmaking and possibilities for combining it with writing; with one creative process enhancing the other. Participants will learn about tools, carving, inking, and printing, as well as folding paper into an accordion fold book. Through demonstrations and examples, participants will be able to take what they learn and make in the workshop into their own practice to continue exploring. Simple tools and techniques can be used in a variety of applications for making prints and books. A simple writing exercise will be part of the workshop.
