Join us on Thursday, March 8th from 5-7pm for our next Community Spirit featuring a print viewing by Landfall Press!
Community, conversation, and refreshments will be free and available to everyone as we hear from Steven Campbell of Landfall Press--a publisher and printer of contemporary lithographs, etchings and woodcuts--about prints and the process of printmaking.
Founded in Chicago, IL in 1970 by Jack Lemon, Landfall Press has served as a unique space for artists. For over forty years, it has collaborated with artists across the United States to produce printed multiples in a broad range of techniques and media. In addition to purely visual images, Landfall Press has published poetry, music, and fiction, as well as formats which combine these oeuvres, such as the hand-printed artist's book.
We are honored to host Campbell and Landfall Press for this month's Community Spirit as he answers questions about printmaking and works on paper. All prints will be for sale so this is a great opportunity for new collectors or those who would like to get one started!
RSVP's are suggested, but not required. Parking is available in the lot behind our building.
Community Spirit takes place at Artspace the second Thursday of every month, providing an after-work locale for Deep Deuce and surrounding district neighbors to come together to network, engage in a creative activity, & enjoy free refreshments! Like all Café Society programs, it is free and open to the public.
