SPECIAL: All workshops are priced as listed, but admission for one morning and afternoon class on the same day is $100 with lunch provided

Saturday’s Workshops:
10:00am - 1:00pm
Block Print Your Own Fabric $45
Instructors: Elizabeth L Richards and Agnes Stadler
Bring your favorite washed fabric to use in this easy-to-learn block printing class. You’ll
learn how to use various items such as a piece of pool noodle or an onion slice to make
prints using fabric paint and your fabric.
Student to bring:
100% prewashed cotton (1 yard min) no softener, no sizing, no starch
Solids preferred
Lightweight canvas or Essex linen
Chambray
Fun objects to print with: kitchen tools, foam strips, pieces of pool noodle, bubblewrap, etc.
Wear apron or clothing that is appropriate for working with paint
Fiberspace will provide:
Fabric paint
Variety of items for printing, including fruits and vegetables
Plastic gloves
Eco-Printing on Paper $55
Instructor: Carol Ann Webster
If you’ve wanted to try eco-printing but didn’t know where to start, this workshop is for
you! You’ll go home knowing what tools are needed, what plants work best, and you’ll
have several pieces of eco-printed papers to use as art or make into greeting cards.
Student to bring:
Bring your favorite leaves, flowers, weeds, etc to experiment with
Fiberspace will provide:
Paper for printing
Tools and equipment for eco-printing
A variety of plant materials for printing
1:30pm - 4:30pm
Dyeing Fabric with Indigo $60
Instructor: Agnes Stadler and Elizabeth L Richards
Learn how to dye fabric using the trendiest color around, indigo blue! At the end of the
workshop, you’ll have a piece of your own indigo dyed fabric to take home.
Student to bring:
Wear apron or clothing that is appropriate for working with dye
Fiberspace will provide:
Rubber gloves
Indigo dye
Prepared-for-dyeing fabric
All equipment used in the dyeing process
Eco-Printing on Silk Scarf $65
Instructor: Carol Ann Webster
Can you imagine printing a silk scarf using leaves and flowers? In this workshop, you’ll
use the eco-printing technique to make a one of a kind silk scarf that looks charming and
adds a flair to your outfit!
Student to bring:
Bring your favorite leaves, flowers, weeds, etc to experiment with
Fiberspace will provide:
Blank silk scarf for printing
Tools and equipment for eco-printing
A variety of plant materials for printing
Class registration provides one silk scarf.
Sunday’s Workshops:

Eco-Printing on Paper $55

Sew a Zipper Bag and Pincushion $45
Instructors: Agnes Stadler and Elizabeth L Richards
Make a darling zippered bag and matching (or not) pincushion with your sewing machine
and your favorite fabric, a zipper and for the pincushion, crushed walnut hulls.
Student to bring:
Sewing machine with zipper foot
2-4 fat quarters of quilting grade fabric/light canvas (Essex linen) in a mix of patterns and colors
Block-printed fabric or indigo fabric from Saturday’s workshop
Matching thread
Fiberspace will provide:
Zipper
Ground walnut shells for pincushion
Cyanotype (Sun Printing) on Paper Greeting Cards $45
Instructor: Carol Ann Webster
Learn to use cyanotype chemicals (safe and non-toxic) to make sun prints on paper that
you’ll make into 4 greeting cards
Student to bring:
