Experience the magic of marbling firsthand with this afternoon, workshop! In this introduction to marbling, learn the basic process of paper marbling with acrylics, including recipes for the various components of the process. Make a variety of patterns and explore a broad range of color palettes. Take home your own marbled papers ready to be used in bookmaking and other arts. You will need to bring an apron or something to protect your clothing.
Adrienne Day is an artist active in printmaking of all types. She has received recognition for her work and has been included in numerous juried and invitational exhibitions across the US and Europe. Her work is included in collections of universities, museums, corporations, and private collectors across the country. She has been an adjunct instructor at OU, OCU, and UCO, an artist-in-residence through the Oklahoma Arts Council, as well as having a career teaching art in public schools. She has a BFA from Oklahoma University and an MFA from Arizona State. Originally from Mississippi, she has called Oklahoma home for over 30 years. Here she enjoys the manic weather, diverse landscapes, beautiful sunsets, and all the interesting people contained within its boundaries.
All ages are welcome, but children under 12 needs a guardian to attend.
