Monotypes are prints that are unique, sometimes painterly, and capable of many approaches. Ink is applied to a flat plate with a brush or brayer and can be manipulated with erasure, templates, layering, pressed textures, or collage. Then the plate is printed on paper with one of the fine Untitled etching presses in this one-day class. The possibilities are endless and participants will have time to create several monotypes. Bring ideas for your images, an apron, and a roll of paper towels.
